From Lens to Brochure: Capturing the Elegance of Badminton Estate for Corporate & Social Events

In this blog post, I want to share the process and creative journey behind crafting a stunning corporate and events brochure for the prestigious Badminton Estate, located in the picturesque Cotswolds. As a photographer, I’ve always loved capturing the essence of a location, and this project allowed me to blend photography with classic country house interior design to showcase the estate’s charm and its potential as an event venue.

The Challenge Badminton Estate is an iconic location, renowned for its historic architecture, expansive gardens, and traditional British elegance. The estate wanted a brochure that would highlight these features while also promoting its capabilities as a corporate and events destination. The challenge was to capture not just the grandeur of the estate but also its versatility — from corporate meetings to lavish social and hospitality events - whiskey tasting anyone? Or perhaps seasonal flower arranging and artistry classes?

Immersing Myself in the Estate Before the camera came out, I spent a day exploring the grounds, meeting staff and understanding the estate’s history and future plans. I wanted to feel connected to the space, because every great photograph starts with an emotional connection. The goal was to capture the heart of Badminton Estate so that potential clients could see the beauty and elegance that would make their event special.

Setting the Tone Through Photography The next step was creating a photographic narrative that reflected the estate’s versatility. For the corporate side, I focused on classic rural charm, vast dining spaces to smaller intimidate rooms perfect for formal dining or an inspirational meeting space - It was a joy to work with such tasteful and refined decor and the influence of the estate’s calming countryside views that offer a perfect environment for business retreats.

Lighting played a crucial role. For corporate images, I leaned into natural daylight to emphasise professionalism and a welcoming atmosphere. For social events, I captured public spaces utilised for both banqueting and workshops showcasing the magical ambience it provides. The warmer toned images were certainly a preference with the client.

This project was a true blend of creativity and strategy, using photography to enhance the visual identity of Badminton Estate. By carefully crafting the right imagery, we were able to create a brochure that not only looked beautiful but also communicated the estate’s unique appeal as a corporate and events venue. I look forward to seeing how the brochure helps elevate the estate’s brand and attract even more memorable events in the future.
